How do we define success?
We are dedicated to enabling a customized user experience based on the belief that each mobile device needs to fit its owner, and not the other way around.
What we make is not merely the product of focus group tests, but of observing and honoring how individuals choose to interact with technology. Our customers guide everything we do at HTC, and it’s this commitment that defines the company. By placing customers at the heart of everything we do, we make things simple and go out of our way to accomplish the impossible by exceeding expectations and invoking surprise.
Success is defined by:
Our recognition as a top smartphone providerProviding a simple yet compelling experienceThe strength of our brandBeing seen as a continuous inn
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
The HTC Foundation embraces the humanitarian spirit of mutual aid and promotes character education by helping schools to carry out character education for children and youths. We promote character-building programs and classes as part of an effort to encourage civic participation in Taiwan. Since 2008, the foundation’s Pan Shi (translation “Bedrock”) Education Project has provided a total of NT$ 24 million in funding, training and scholarships for 768 different schools, and 68,000 teachers and students throughout Taiwan. In China's remote northwest regions, we also provide a number of scholarships for students from low-income households (Sichuan Province, Liaoning Province and Qinghai Province) and have done so since 2007.
The HTC Child Support Group was founded in 2006 as an employee initiative. The club organizes donation drives with all proceeds going to the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families to help sponsor children in need. More than 300 employees and the Employee Welfare Committee raise over 3 million NT dollars per year. The money was used to sponsor 254 children including children from Guatemala, Indonesia, the Philippines, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Kyrgyzstan and Paraguay. Furthermore, HTC partners with World Vision Taiwan to provide education funding for children from low-income households in Central America and Africa
